Nature of Art ~ Mark Manning and Friends

Enjoy a relaxing stroll walking along the Turkey Creek Streamway Park pathway just as fall begins. You will enjoy the autumnal setting and revel in beautiful art tucked in stragetic places, where each piece of watercolor artwork was created. Art will on display from noon - 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, September 28-29, 2002. There is no charge to enjoy this experience. It will also be a wonderful family outing.

Mark Manning is a well-known Kansas City artist who has been featured in newspapers and on television. This is the second year of his exhibits along the pathway. The park is between 67th and 75th streets in Merriam, Kansas. You will also have an opportunity to visit with Mark and several artist friends. Mark will have more than 100 pieces of art based on nature and scenes found on the parkway. His art, and that of his friends, will be exhibited and on sale during the hours of the exhibit. There will also be wonderful entertainment for your enjoyment.

Accessible Arts will offer activities for children and adults that include a large loom for a public weaving, as well as bird houses and pictures frames to construct and decorate. This public event is sponsored by Merriam Parks and Recreation.

Manning's work and additional details about entertainment can also be viewed on his website, but it is not Bobby approved. Access by clicking here:
