Whole Foods in Overland Park, KS will donate to Accessible Arts 5% of all sales receipts on Tuesday, November 7th. This is a part of Whole Foods' “Taste of the Holidays” Community Day.
We invite you to stop by the store to make a purchase and visit with our staff and volunteers. Whole Foods provides the snack foods used in our progamming for children with and without disabilities. These include 99 Drums and Accessible Arts Summer Camp. There is no better place than Whole Foods to purchase wholesome canned goods for your family and holiday food baskets.
A display of art by students by children with disabilities from Horizon Academy can be viewed all month at Whole Foods, beginning November 4. There will also be an Accessible Arts display of photographs depicting children's work with ceramics, visual art, trails trips, the 99 Drums multi-cultural drumming and dancing workshops, and Accessible Arts Summer Camp.
Did you know? Accessible Arts is celebrating our 25th Anniversary!!! Did you know? In the Kansas City Metropolitan area and the State of Kansas, Accessible Arts is the only non-profit organization that presents training and programming specifically to help ensure that children with disabilities have opportunities to enjoy and participate in arts programming. (Our current training program for artists, educators and community arts providers is called Creating Arts for All. We believe in inclusive education, and our programs for children include a good mix of children with and without disabilities.
