Tips for a winning nomination:
Following are some additional ideas that reflect the varied kinds of support we receive to support nominations. Note that the more specific you can be with examples, the more reflective it will be of the impact the teacher is making.
Please remember that this is all about ARTS EDUCATION and INCLUSION of children with disabilities. What we would like to see are specific examples such as:
These kinds of information may be reflected in letters of support from parents or co-workers, news clippings, video, photos, etc. Please send nomination and supporting letters and photos (preferably by email), and ensure that they include the name, organization, title, address, phone, and email for each nominator and supporter.
You do not need to respond to everything listed above. But specifics of this nature make a strong nomination. It is very helpful if most or all of your material can be sent by email attachment. Nominators will be notified whether candidates were selected or not. Strong candidates who are not selected may be included in the candidate list the next year. Each nominator will be notified as to whether your candidate was selected or not.
