Please
join us for Accessible Arts Night at the American Heartland
Theatre. On Tuesday, November 4th, at 8:00 PM, Accessible Arts is
hosting a performance of A Christmas Story, starring its very own
Executive Director Martin English as the father.
Since it's debut in 1983,
A Christmas Story has become a holiday tradition. This new stage adaptation
captures the wonder of 9-year-old Ralphie Parker's Christmas in the
1940s and his quest for a genuine Red Ryder Air Rifle. Faced with
the constant warning, "you'll shoot your eye out," he perseveres amidst
a collection of youthful "disasters" and familial flaps which only
Christmas can bring. There's the neighborhood bully, the visit to
Santa gone awry and the dare that results in a youngster's tongue
stuck to a lamppost. It's a touching, lovable, evening of heartfelt
humor, warmth and joy. A holiday treat for the whole family. |
