What
is 99 Drums?
A weekend of interactive music and dance workshops exploring the arts, history, customs, and food of West African, Native American, Slavic, Caribbean and Hmong cultures. Workshops and performances will be presented by professional artists from the Traditional Music Society (with Bird Fleming, Artistic Director for 99 Drums), Accessible Arts, local ethnic communities and storytellers. |

Much Does It Cost?
$50 if registered by April 7th; $75 after April 7th on a space available basis. Cost includes 11 workshops, 6 meals and 2 overnight stays! (Scholarships are available; must request in writing by April 7th) |

On the weekend of April 15-17, 2005, 99 Drums will bring together a group of children (including at-risk youth, children with disabilities, and their non-disabled peers) to experience music and dance in a celebration of diverse cultures in an inclusive environment. The 99 Drums weekend will culminate with a free public performance on Sunday, April 17th at 3:30 PM in the gym on the campus of the Kansas State School for the Blind. Families and the public are invited. Children will be finished with all activities at 5:30 PM, Sunday afternoon.
